People and Purpose

I work to liberate people from static thinking and operating and inform embodied ways of being that enable authentic expressions of people, purpose, and improve the bottom line.    

Here are some of the approaches, practices and theories I abide by:

Regeneration - Regeneration is both a practice and a mindset that involves the work of learning and operating from essence and potential.  The aim is to become rooted in a story that broadens awareness and develops a mindset capable of making sound, holistic decisions in challenging work environments.  Developing regeneration within a community of practice deepens the organizational experience and unifies the brand culture.  

Living Systems - A living systems paradigm is a science-based worldview that honors the world of living things, its natural patterns, cycles, and inherent interrelatedness.  It is fundamental for practicing regeneration and understanding life in general.  Living Systems thinking helps people move away from mechanistic thinking toward seeing the world and our environments as alive, nested and evolving.  This paradigm is unique in that it patterns how the world does work, not how it ought to work. 

Teal Organizing - The Teal paradigm refers to the next stage in the evolution of human consciousness.  When applied to organizations, this paradigm views the organization as an independent force with its own evolutionary purpose, and not merely as a vehicle for achieving management objectives.  The three major breakthroughs in Teal organizing are self-management, wholeness, and evolutionary purpose.  

Integral Theory and AQAL - Ken Wilbur's synthesized framework for the living totality of matter, body, mind, soul, and spirit.  AQAL, which is an acronym for all quadrants, all levels, is the basic framework for Integral Theory.  It places all human knowledge and experience in a four-quadrant grid, along the axes of "interior-exterior" and "individual-collective."  This is extremely helpful in simplifying complex problems by naming and working within the appropriate quadrant. 

Theory U - Otto Scharmer at MIT developed Theory U, which proposes that the quality of the results that we create in any kind of social system is a function of the quality of awareness, attention, or consciousness that the participants in the system operate from. The U-Process is the method for leading profound change that emerged from TheoryU.  It provides a helpful roadmap for creating social change within any system.
